Key Issues

1-Government Transparency
I will work to:
 Restore citizen comments and suggestions through a suggestion box in the city Hall
Lobby.
 Move all discussions and presentations from the council study sessions to the regular
council meetings, which are accessible to more residents.
 Promote Citizen Inclusiveness in all area of the city affairs
 Host community meetings and informational sessions to address the District residents’
concerns and suggestions on how we can improve our great city.
 Build infrastructure and technology to inform the residents.

2-Community & Economic Development

 Provide residents and businesses in the District with superior streets and sidewalks.
 Enhance public safety and safe neighborhoods through improved street lighting, ring
neighborhood and other latest technologies, pedestrian safety along major roadways
and residential streets in the district
 Attract responsible commercial/residential developments in the district. The taxes
generated from this area will greatly benefit all residents by helping us maintain our low
tax rate, create jobs, and provide us with a more vibrant economy—all of which are
crucial to the future sustainability of our great city.
 Turn the city into a Local Service Provider, by generating money, attract new
businesses and sustain the ones we have simultaneously.
3- Fighting Crime
I will work to:
 Continue with the ring door camera and also cameras on installed poles with Wi-Fi
and/or hotspot on targeted problematic areas in the district, and to provide tools that
enable law enforcement to be more efficient, effective, and equitable, and improve
outcomes for all crime.

I will work to:
 strengthen our current recycling and renewable energy initiatives in the District
 Create an Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Initiatives Board to evaluate and
explore methods in which we can support and enhance the city’s “Be Green” initiatives.
 Protect the environment and creating new public open spaces; to build in resilience
climate change.

5-Educational opportunities
I will work to:
 provide rich educational and technological career training opportunities for all
students from all backgrounds to produce a homegrown workforce; fostering a culture
of volunteerism, connecting residents with opportunities to serve the community.
6- Seniors Services
I will work to:
 expand the senior program from being a recreational activity center to NoMi-home
care, which will be creating an approximative of 50 employments with a priority to
the North Miami residents.

 Enhance public safety.

 Make the city a Local Service Provider to generate income.

 Create home care for the elderly.
 Attract and sustain businesses.
