Accomplishments in the city

After more than 25 years, I call in the great City of North Miami home. I have been working tirelessly to change the lives of my fellow North Miamian.

In 2002, I saw a need in the community for a homecare service for the elderly, I open a Florida state legislature and city of North Miami subsidized home health care agency to provide health services at the seniors’ homes.

In 2003, when the need arised to have an adult care, I worked for a year with the city on incorporating a code for adult day care into the codes of ordinances, because they never had it before.

In 2007, the home care agency and I received accolade of appreciation for community service by mayor Kevin Burns

In 2015, I had the opportunity to work as district 4 constituents’ Aide, where I worked directly with the community on the behalf of the than councilman district 4, Alix Desulme.

Almost immediately the mayor and council voted unanimously to create a senior service division, once again I responded to the call to establish and structure programs include an integrated array of advocacy, health, nutrition, social services, sports, leisure, and cognitive activities.

In 2017 I received the community leader’s award from the Florida senate.

Again, On October 25, 2019, the mayor and council initiated another project, this time is the NoMI food pantry; the first government-sponsored food pantry housed within a municipality through Feeding South Florida® I was happy to be called to organize and to the day-to-day operation.

In closing, I would be honored at the possibility of the opportunity to serve my city, my community on another level in a city that embodies togetherness, people working together for the common good.

I am ready to continue, to implement and to innovate for a district 4 better living.

I appreciate your time and consideration. Please vote for me Daniel Calixte for councilman district 4, North Miami.
